Intelligent Transport Systems is a section within the Autonomous Systems department at Scania R&D. Our mission is to provide the best autonomous transport solutions. Intelligent Transport Systems contributes to that mission by providing offboard systems for automated, optimized and safe vehicle control and monitoring.

We are now looking for a manager that want to help us develop our section and its management team, build great development teams and contribute to sustainable transport solutions. We offer you a position in a dynamic work environment with lots of opportunities to influence the future.

Assignment

You will be responsible for a group providing intelligent control center systems. The Scania control center provides advanced automatic planning and dispatch for fleets of vehicles transporting goods and people. The control center has an operators interface and integrates with external logistics systems. Example of group responsibilities are

  • cloud software development of automatic planning and dispatch system,
  • control center operators interface,
  • partnership and integration with external logistics system providers.

You will have a mix of tasks in terms of recruitment, competence development, building efficient and healthy agile teams, coaching of employees, improvement work, and product guidance. You also support your teams in their collaboration with other teams and stakeholders within and outside Scania.

You will work closely with the other managers within Intelligent Transport Systems and contribute to the management team work such as strategical planning and organization development.

Your profile

You are a natural and proven leader with strong management and servant leadership skills. You have a lot of enthusiasm and you have the ability to see people and their possibilities and to trust in others. To succeed in this position you need to be strong in building teams, be communicative, show drive and initiative and be energized by challenges.

We are looking for a team player with a can-do mentality combined with an analytical mindset and structured way of working. To fit the expectations of the role we think you are

  • interested in helping Scania and our customers to become more sustainable,
  • highly motivated by the mission described above,
  • experienced and interested in agile IT system development.

You have a graduate degree in engineering or equivalent. Good knowledge of English is required. Good knowledge of Swedish is an advantage. Knowledge about Scania and Scania´s methods and processes is meritorious.
