We are now looking for a passionate Data Scientist to join our BI & Analytics department at Tele2’s new social and collaborative workspace in Kista.

The Analytics Insights team is part of BI & Analytics department that drives the development of all solutions for BI, Analytics and Big Data at Tele2. Our department supports all Tele2 functions in their journey towards analytical excellence.

This is the job....

As Data Scientist you will turn data into valuable business insights and implement new Big Data/Analytics use cases. You will collaborate with business stakeholders, business developers, data engineers, as well as highly skilled Data Scientists from across the organization. In your role as analytical expert you will have a key role in creating an analytics-driven culture at Tele2.

Key responsibilities include:

• Develop and utilize descriptive analytics and statistical models to generate new insights based on both internal and external data. For example, developing predictive models for repeated customer contacts, trend analysis and next-best action recommendations.
• Continually explore new opportunities by analyzing internal and external data sources, and take part in formulating new use cases.
• Support business units by transferring use cases into actions, like business process changes, campaign activities or automation of model scoring.
• Collaborate and drive knowledge sharing initiatives to help improve analytical capabilities within the Tele2 organization, e.g. leading analytics training in R, Python or similar.

Requirements

• Minimum a Bachelor’s degree in fields related to data science, mathematics, statistics, or machine learning.
• At least 2 years of experience in applied Data Science, preferably more.
• Proven ability to analyze and resolve problems at both strategic and tactical level.
• Experience and good understanding of statistical modeling, machine learning techniques and algorithms. For example, multivariate analysis, regression models, deep learning, gradient boosted trees, PCA, etc.
• Proven skills in common data science toolkits like; R or Python, ML on Spark, Notebooks (Jupyter, Zeppelin, Databricks). Excellence in at least one of the tools is highly desirable.
• Experience in Spark or, if not, a strong willingness to learn it
• Proficiency in using query languages such as SQL
• Fluent in English, both verbal and written
