We
are looking for a senior legal counsel to be a part of the NIM Business
Law team. The team is responsible for advicing on all legal aspects of the
business of Nordea Investment Management AB (NIM) and is a part of NAM Business
& Corporate Law, the legal department in Nordea Asset Management (NAM).
NIM
is a Swedish investment firm under the supervision of the Swedish FSA
(“Finansinspektionen”), providing primarily discretionary portfolio management
services to institutional clients, via branches in Denmark, Finland and Norway
and subsidiaries in Germany, the US and the UK. This is an opportunity for you
to expand your knowledge about asset management activities in different
jurisdictions and to develop your legal skills both when it comes to asset
management related legislation and general commercial legal advice, while
contributing to the growing and successful business of the asset management arm
of the Nordea Group.

is a part of NAM, which is the asset management business of the Nordea Group,
the leading financial services group in the Nordic and Baltic Sea regions. The

(of which around 590 are employed in NIM and its subsidiaries) and manages
approximately EUR 200 billion of assets for institutional, wholesale and retail
clients across the Nordic region and the globe.
Your future responsibilities
You'll
join NIM Business Law, where
we provide legal advice to the investment business of NAM. You will, both
independently and together with other members of the team, be handling all
legal aspects of the business of a global investment firm.
What you'll be working with:
- License to operate and
strategic questions
- Client agreements, such as
investment management agreements and fund investment agreements, trading
agreements, and legal aspects of product development
- Broker and research agreements,
questions related to investment restrictions and agreements with for
instance data vendors
- Agreements with external
managers and other types of outsourcing
The
role is based in Stockholm. Frequent travelling within and occasionally also

Your
profile and background:
- 4-10 years’ experience of
qualified legal work with corresponding matters in a law firm or as an
in-house counsel
- A law degree (master’s degree)
in Swedish law
- Fluency in Swedish, English and
Finnish
- Analytical mindset
- Ability to work autonomously
and proactively, to prioritize tasks and to exercise sound judgment
