Dimensional Engineering for chassis

The perceived quality by our customers is vital for a premium product like our Scania trucks. Controlling the dimensional demands is the key to secure the correct assembly, the exclusive appearance and other parameters such as aerodynamics, noise, strength and the ability to assemble.

The purpose of the DE-team is to ensure the exterior & interior dimensional requirements of a product, both aesthetically and functionally,  through simulations, robust geometrical design and assembly assurance.

Now we are searching for a Simulation Engineer to help Scania continue to develop our premium truck in upcoming projects.

Your responsibility is to calculate the dimensional requirements in different stages of a project to help create a geometrically robust and aesthetical product. You will also calculate on functional demands to ensure that we have optimized tolerances on parts when it comes to cost, design and functionality.

You plan your simulations from the assignments that we get or have planned. You simulate and deliver the results to support engineers when developing a new product or process.

The work gives you a big picture of our complex product. It is a dynamic group where you have close contact with designers, production engineers, quality engineers and suppliers through our purchase organization.

The group consists of experienced people who are eager to support you in your daily work.

We are searching for you that have a BSc or MSc in Engineering or equivalent experience of simulation. Good written and spoken English is essential and experience in the software RD&T is an advantage.

You are analytical and have a good attention to details without losing focus of the bigger picture and you see improvements as a natural part of your work. You feel responsible for your work, you are good at collaborating and enjoy being in a dynamic work environment.
