WMS Product Owner

We are building a next generation automated e-commerce warehouse in Landskrona for the Nordic region. We are looking for a technical Product Owner for the WMS in this warehouse. We offer a unique opportunity set up a WMS from scratch – A to Z. You will play an integral role between operations, processes and automation. 

THE ROLE

  • The WMS Product Owner will report to the Head of Fulfilment and work closely with our Operations, ERP and IT teams. 
  • You will be responsible for the setup and integration with our Transport Management System (TMS).
  • The responsibilities will vary over time in two distinct phases: 

1. The setup phase: In this first phase you will act as a project leader. 

  • Structure a tender and invite WMS providers. Evaluate and chose the WMS that is best suited for the needs of the company in Q1 2020. 
  • Design the SOP and develop the WMS together with the 3PL running the warehouse, NA-KD IT, the WMS provider and developers. 
  • Test and trim the system prior to go live in Q3 2020.

2. The production phase: In this phase the system is up and running and the work shifts towards stability and optimization:

  • Responsibilities include establishing a process for configuration, training and testing when establishing a new instance of a WMS. 
  • Coordinating the requirements between the users of the applications, and the developers. 
  • Establishing best practices for modifications to the application.


YOUR SKILLS

  • Bachelor or higher university degree.
  • Minimum of 5 years of work experience preferably as a technical product owner plus a minimum of 2 years of experience working with WMS configurations and assisting with establishing SOP’s.
  • Proactivity is a key ability for this role. We are looking for a self-starter to propose, validate and execute plans to deliver the results.
  • Project Management skills with the ability to develop a collaborative environment between different stakeholders in the project.
  • Extensive knowledge of working with and configuring various WMS applications.
  • Ability to plan and execute implantations of new applications and systems.
  • Experience with managing ERP software.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills.
  • Used to read and write technical and process documentations.
  • Willingness to travel between warehouses and head office when necessary.
  • Good level of writing and speech in English and Swedish.
