We are looking for a

Sustainability Trainee

to join our Group Sustainability team at Tokmanni. Our sustainability team is primarily based in Finland, with one team member located in Sweden. Tokmanni Group operates in Finland, Sweden and Denmark, giving you exposure to sustainability work across our Nordic markets.

This role is an excellent opportunity for someone who is eager to grow into a future sustainability professional while working closely with an experienced and supportive team.

What do you get to do during your internship?

In this role, you will support our sustainability communications and certification work. Your tasks may include:

• Assisting with the creation of sustainability content, materials, and presentations
• Supporting sustainability communication for internal and external audiences
• Helping to maintain documentation related to product certifications (e.g., FSC, PEFC, Better Cotton, RSPO)
• Supporting compliance and reporting needs through data collection, documentation and coordination
• Participating in project coordination and day‑to‑day sustainability tasks
• Contributing to the continuous development of Tokmanni Group’s sustainability practices

Depending on your background and interests, you may also take part in additional development projects within the team.

What do we expect from you?

We hope you are someone who:

• Is in the final stages of a university‑level degree or recently graduated (e.g., business, communications, environmental or social sciences, or another relevant field)
• Communicates fluently in Finnish and English; Swedish skills are considered an advantage in our Nordic environment
• Has a strong interest in sustainability, corporate responsibility and the role of certifications in retail
• Works proactively, takes initiative and approaches tasks with a positive, “can‑do” attitude
• Is able to work in Mäntsälä weekly
• Can start as soon as possible, and no later than April 2026

The position is a fixed-term internship that starts immediately as agreed and continues for six months. The weekly working hours are 37.5 h/week. The internship includes an internship allowance. On office days, we work at our Head Office in Mäntsälä.
